Sinfonie concertanti and trios between the Enlightenment and the Romantic era

 Observations on the origins of the sinfonia concertante from the concerto grosso and the solo sonata, and on the genesis of the Classical trio. Presents the sinfonia concertante in F major for two violins and orchestra by Giovanni Battista Viotti and Gaetano Brunetti’s sinfonia concertante in B-flat major.
