Graziella Seminara is associate professor of Musicology at the University of Catania. She is director of the Centre for Bellini Studies, and co-editor of the Bollettino di studi belliniani. She edited Vincenzo Bellini’s Carteggi (Leo S. Olschki, 2017) and is preparing the critical edition of Bianca e Fernando for the “Edizione critica delle opere di Vincenzo Bellini” (Ricordi). She is author of monographs on Jean-Philippe Rameau (L’Epos, 2001) and Alban Berg (L’Epos, 2012), and of the book Lo sguardo obliquo. Il teatro musicale di Corghi e Saramago (Ricordi, 2015). She has also written numerous essays on the twentieth century musical theater and on the relationship between images and music in cinema; among them, the articles The Theatricalized Canon. Aldo Clementi’s Musical Dramaturgy («Contemporary Music Review», 2011) and “Music and Images in “New Babylon” between Literature and Visual Arts” («Music and the Moving Image», 2021).
