Md Alamgir Parvez, born in Bangladesh, studied Music (Major: Indian Vocal Music) at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India, where he completed his Master degree in 2009. He worked as a lecturer at the Department of Music, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University in 2012, and currently he is working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Music, University of Rajshahi. He presented research papers in international conferences like 6th Annual South Asian Media and Cultural Studies Conference at Florida State University (Paper title: “Gana Sangeet: A tool to overcome social disorders of Bangladesh”) and 1st International Conference on Literature, History and Culture at the University of Rajshahi. Mr. Parvez also published research papers in recognized Journals and participated in the international Dhrupad Mela in Varanasi.
