Research assistant at the Lucerne School of Music. She earned her BSc in Music and Psychology from Keele University, followed by a PhD in ethnomusicology from Harvard, with a dissertation on Uruguay’s murga carnival tradition. Her research interests include music and politics, migration, and sustainability. Currently she is working on the SNSF funded project “Seeking Birdscapes,” about practices of aural perception, meaning-making and audio recording in ornithology, bioacoustics, and environmental sound art.
