Genoese theater and society in Alessandro Stradella’s time

Stradella’s life and activities in Genoa in the last years of his life are more or less directly connected with the history of the Teatro Falcone and events in the lives of prominent Genoese personalities, such as the Adorno, Guano, Rivarola, and Garibaldo families. Archival documents relating to the theater and to the composer’s death are reproduced in an appendix.
