Celebrations in Turin between Revolution and Restoration. The French models and local variations

Discusses the similarities and differences between the festivals connected to the French Revolution and the ceremonies organized in Piedmont, whether in the Savoyard period or during the Cisalpine Republic. Particular attention is given to the Turinese celebrations during the first French occupation and to the repetitiousness of festival plans, reused, decades away, during the reign of Carlo Alberto.
