Assistant professor in Musicology at the University of Catania. He graduated in Composition, Electronic Music and Orchestral Conducting, and he received his PhD at Sapienza University of Rome (2005). His research focuses on two main fields: music after 1960, with special emphasis on experimental music theatre in Italy; instrumental music from the second half of the eighteenth century, especially Boccherini’s works. He has published the book Nuovo Teatro Musicale fra Roma e Palermo, 1961–1973 (LIM, 2020), and the critical edition of Domenico Guaccero’s writings (Ricordi–LIM, 2005); he has also edited volumes on the composers Paolo Renosto (LIM, 2013) and Francesco Pennisi (LIM, 2014).
