Martin V. Clarke is Senior Lecturer and Head of Department in Music at The Open University, UK. He is the author of British Methodist Hymnody: Theology, Heritage, and Experience (Routledge, 2018), editor of Music and Theology in Nineteenth-Century Britain (Routledge, 2012), and co-editor of A History of Welsh Music (CUP, 2022) and The Oxford Handbook of Music and Christian Theology (vol. 3, OUP, forthcoming). He organised the conference “Amazing Grace and its legacies: reflections at 250” in July 2022.
