Assistente di ricerca al Max-Reger-Institut di Karlsruhe, dal 2009 lavora al progetto accademico Reger-Werkausgabe. Ha studiato musicologia e letteratura tedesca alla Philipps-Universität Marburg e all’Università di Padova; ha conseguito il dottorato a Marburg nel 2006, con una tesi dal titolo Die italienische Sinfonie 1900-1945. È stato borsista all’Istituto storico germanico di Roma (2002-3) e al Centro tedesco di studi veneziani (2004). Dal 1999 al 2007 ha lavorato nello staff della casa editrice musicale Katzbichler, e ha avuto incarichi di insegnamento alle università di Marburg e Mainz.

From 1999 to 2007 he was a member of the staff of the music-publishing house Katzbichler. He has held various lectureships at the Universities of Marburg and Mainz.
