Luigi Boccherini and Venice

Boccherini’s encounters with Venice began in March 1756 and continued during Carnival and Easter 1757, when his father Leopoldo played there. Later in his career, Boccherini had contacts with Venetian printers who published his works from 1775 until 1780: Luigi Marescalchi, Carlo Canobbio, and Antonio Zatta.
